Drawing on a lifelong interest in art and design, as well as gardening, Gina completed the John Brookes course in garden design in 2005. Commissions in the UK and Canada have followed, in both country settings and for city gardens. Within each project, whatever its scope, the goal is to fulfill the client’s vision for a well-designed garden with enduring appeal. In close collaboration with her clients, Gina harmonises form and function with exacting attention to detail. She produces beautiful spaces which also take issues such as sustainability and long-term maintenance into account. Her planting schemes mix lush forms and colour with evergreen structure, accommodating every taste from the traditional through to the thoroughly contemporary.
Gina’s interests also run to garden writing and photography and all the images shown here are her own. She undertakes special commissions to tell the story of a garden in both words and pictures. These might document the genesis of a new garden, the resurrection of an old one or simply record a much-loved garden as it is today.
